Local talk show duo from The Casey Clarke Show was recently recognized in the Canadian Country Music Association's (CCMA) 2017 CCMA Awards Program.

Okanagan’s New Country 100.7’s The Casey Clarke Show, with co-host Roo Phelps, was awarded the 2017 On-Air Personalities of the Year Award.

"Roo Phelps and I are extremely honoured to have won this award two out of the last three years, and are even more proud of the fact that there hasn't been another Country Music radio team to have accomplished this in B.C. in the history of the Canadian Country Music Awards  - and we get to do it here in Kelowna," said Casey Clarke. "Kelowna now has become one of the hottest country music markets in all of Canada, from touring acts to radio listener support, and that goes to show you the incredible appetite Kelowna has for Country music."

The award is given to the  Canadian Country Music on-air radio personality who exemplifies the development of Canadian Country talent through their presentation on-air.

“Congratulations to all the nominees from this afternoon’s award ceremony. On behalf of our entire association, we are truly appreciative of all the ways you elevate the genre of Canadian country music,” said Tracy Martin, Interim President of the Canadian Country Music Association.
