Some of you walking along Bernard Avenue on Thursday afternoon may have come across Jessica LeHegarate.

The local woman was walking through downtown shirtless, soaking up the sunshine. Something LeHegarate says she's been doing for some time now.

Aside from comfort, LeHegarate says it's a form of activism. Inspired by movements like #Freethenipple, LeHegarate told KelownaNow she 's hoping to raise awareness about over-sexualization of the female body.
