Man arrested after body found at Kelowna property

A suspect has been arrested after a man was found dead in Kelowna early this morning.

Mounties said they were called to a home in the 1200 block of Sycamore Road just before 1:30 am this morning after a body was found there.

A man has been arrested but no charges have been laid.

“At this time, we are not releasing the name of the deceased,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy.

“However, police believe that this incident is isolated in nature, and the victim and the suspect were known to one another.”

The area around the home in Sycamore has been closed off while the RCMP investigates.

The Kelowna RCMP Major Crime Unit has assumed control of the investigation.

A separate investigation is also being carried out by the BC Coroner’s Service.

Anyone who witnessed or has knowledge of the incident is ask to come forward and speak with police immediately by calling 250-762-3300.
