Next weekend, take part in a special performance from the Mission Dance Company that features accomplished and emerging local dance artists plus an exhibit of local indigenous artists.

Artist's Passion is a “must-see” show performance in which audiences will be treated to traditional classical ballet, neo-classical and flamenco styles of dance works.

This mixed program of breathtaking, exciting, and moving choreography and music will present GIselle, Missa Brevis, Swan Lake excepts, and the premiere of Tanya Vadurova’s flamenco-styled ballet called “Layers of Affinity”.

This performance will feature the internationally renowned principal ballet dancer, Kealan McLaughlin along with artistic collaborations from local artists.

“Come and be entertained by this stunning mix of ballet, modern, flamenco, and other special guest artists featuring indigenous artworks,” said a release from Artist’s Passion.

“A great highlight of the performance is the emotionally soothing music of a celebrated local artist, composer, Imant Raminsh, with the maturity of the artistic dancing of the cast who embody this grand piece of music work, Missa Brevis.”

If you’re looking to snag tickets to this performance they’re going quick, with only two shows to catch all the action Oct. 1 and 2.

Tickets can be purchased through the Rotary Centre for the Arts or through the Mission Dance Company at admin@missiondancecentre.com.
