Motorhome destroyed in early morning Rutland fire

A motorhome suffered significant damage in an early-morning fire in Rutland today.

The Kelowna Fire Department responded to the fire, located in the 200 block of Rutland Road South, at about 6:30 a.m.

First-arriving KFD crews encountered the large motorhome already engulfed in flames, and while they were able to knock down the fire quickly, the damage was significant.

In all, two engines and a command unit responded to the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
