The Kelowna RCMP are searching for their cutout Cst. Warren Ning just days after it was assigned to local school zones.

On Jan. 17, RCMP were alerted of the disappearance of the life-sized cutout from its position outside A.S. Matheson Elementary School.

Police believe the suspect, or suspects, left the area with the cutout sometime after 3:30 p.m. when school was out.

“Simply put, it is truly disappointing,” states Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey of the Kelowna RCMP. “This initiative was created with the safety of our youth in mind. Whoever is responsible for the theft has put students at risk.”

RCMP are urging the wrong-doers to return Ning to the school it was removed from.
