Nearly 100 litres of fuel stolen from Kelowna van after thief drills into tank

An appeal has gone out after about 100 litres of fuel was stolen from a parked van in Kelowna.

The thief, or thieves, ended up spilling a “significant amount” of the fuel down a nearby sewer drain, Crime Stoppers said.

It happened over the weekend of June 7–10 at National Tire Distributors on Jim Bailey Crescent.

The 2012 Nissan cargo van’s fuel tank was drilled into and the liquid taken out.
