A dog park in central Kelowna reopened today.

The off-leash, fenced Rowcliffe Park had been closed as part of a $1.4 million development.

A community garden, open grass field and additional walkways are also part of the improvements at the Rowcliffe Avenue park.

That phase of development – phase two – is expected to be complete by the end of June.

The City of Kelowna also sought to remind dog walkers to keep their pets on a leash when outside of designated parks and to always clean up after their pooches.
