UPDATE: Search for missing Kelowna man comes to a tragic end

(UPDATE: Feb. 8 @ 3:10 pm) – The search for a missing 32-year-old Kelowna man has come to a tragic end.

The Vernon RCMP have confirmed that remains found on Jan. 25 in Vernon's Adventure Bay area are those of Dillon Angle.

Angle was reported missing on Oct. 19, 2022 after his vehicle was found abandoned in the 8100 block of Tronson Road in Vernon.

“The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” said the detachment in a news release.

No criminality is suspected and the BC Coroners Service is conducting an independent investigation to determine how, where, when and by what means he died.

No additional information has been released at this time.

(UPDATE: Oct. 31 @ 3:45 pm) - As the search for Dillon Angle continues, Mounties in the Okanagan have released more information.

The 32-year-old was reported missing on Wednesday, Oct. 19, after his white 2019 Cadillac XT5 was found abandoned in the 8100 block of Tronson Road in Vernon.

Police say he was reported missing by his family who is very concerned for his safety.

"He has not been in communication with his family which is very unusual," noted an RCMP release. "He has been known to live a high-risk lifestyle which includes addiction issues."

The RCMP is urging anyone who has information that could help find Angle, including video surveillance or dash camera footage from the Tronson Road area in Vernon on Oct. 19, to reach out.

(Original story: Oct. 26 @ 1:20 pm) - Okanagan Mounties are searching for a missing man.

Dillon Angle’s car was found abandoned in Vernon on Oct. 19.

Police – the Kelowna and Vernon RCMP detachments are working together on the case – said Angle’s family are concerned for his safety.

His family also said it is unusual for Angle, who is 32, to be out of communication for so long.

Police added: “He has been known to live a high-risk lifestyle which includes addiction issues.”
