It's still the dog days of winter, but that doesn't mean it's too soon to look forward to one of Kelowna's most popular summer activities.

On The Lawn powered by BDO is set to return for its sixth year and after expanding in 2019, it'll once again be a 40-team, four-week tournament.

The first set of teams will play on Thursday, July 23 and Thursday, July 30, while the second set of teams will play on Thursday, Aug. 6 and Thursday, Aug. 13.

If you're truly passionate about lawn bowling and having a good time, you'll be able to register your team in both brackets to enjoy all four weeks of action.

Those who do join the fun will be a part of a growing community of young professionals who have managed to raise more than $100,000 for Elevation Outdoors over the past four years.

This year, the proceeds will help the charity provide 85 full scholarships to deserving participants.

“In 2020 we will continue to build on our success from 2019 and are looking forward to another year of full programs," said Mike Greer, executive director of Elevation Outdoors.

"To be able to continue our work of breaking down the barriers that many in our community face, and provide both full and partial scholarships creates opportunities our participants may not otherwise have.”

Registration for the tournament begins on March 26 at 9 am and you can learn more by clicking this link.
