The annual On the Lawn charity lawn bowling tournament has wrapped up for another year of fun and networking in the sun.

For its fifth installment, the event was once again held in support of Elevation Outdoors, an organization that focuses on breaking the barriers down between Okanagan youth and outdoor activities.

The 2019 edition of the event raised more funds and welcomed more teams than ever before, donating Elevation Outdoors founder Tori Hanson with a cheque for $28,252.

"We are overwhelmed by the support shown by the community at the On The Lawn powered by BDO event,” said Mike Greer, executive director of Elevation Outdoors.

“Funds from this year’s event will be combined with support from MEC and the Telus Future is Friendly Foundation to help launch our brand new ‘Leaders in Action’ program designed to help youth aged 15 to 18 develop their leadership skills through outdoor recreation,” he added.

Following this year’s incredible success, the grand total of funds raised for Elevation Outdoors is over $100,000.

Young professionals looking to join in on this social event for a worthy cause, keep an eye on the On the Lawn website for 2020 registration information.

Congratulations to all the teams involved in making this event an astounding success!
