An incredible donation of over $100,000 was made to the Canadian Mental Health Association in Kelowna on Monday morning.

The hefty sum was garnered by the team behind Orchard Park Shopping Centre, Primaris Management, and supporters of their fifth annual charity golf tournament, which took place this past Thursday at Predator Ridge.

CMHA Kelowna has gifted a large cheque for $105,420 to go toward supporting their latest initiative, the Discovery College, a cause that marketing manager of Orchard Park Vikki Webster was eager to support.

“Awareness around mental health continues to grow as more and more people discuss their struggle, or the struggle of those they love and we are proud to take a leadership role in this cause,” said Webster in a media release.

“We believe that taking the conversation from a whisper to a roar is how we help ourselves, our loved ones, our employees, and our community.”

The most recent donation brings the grand total raised by Orchard Park for the CMHA to $453,490 over the last five years.
