UPDATE: Outage that impacted over 2,700 Kelowna residents now fixed

(UPDATE: Oct. 10 @ 2:45 pm) – Power has now been restored to Kelowna residents in the South Pandosy and Landmark area.

Fortis explained that crews were making repairs to the system after third-party damage caused the outage.

(Original Story: Oct. 10 @ 12:15 pm) – An outage currently has thousands without power in Kelowna. 

According to Fortis BC, 2,766 customers are affected by the incident between South Pandosy and the Landmark area. 

The outage was first reported at 10:18 am. 

Crews are on scene and a repair is in progress. 

At this point, there is no estimated time for the power to return. More to come.
