The weather is getting nicer and it’s tempting to get out of the house and go for a hike.

There are plenty of great hikes, trails and adventures to choose from in the Okanagan, but you can cross Paul’s Tomb off that list for a few weeks.

Annual trail improvements will close the popular trail in Knox Mountain Park for the entirety of March.

Work includes non-explosive rock slope excavation to widen the trail, which will allow for better access for service and emergency vehicles.

The trail closure began today around one kilometre north of the Poplar Point access and the parking lot at Poplar Point is also closed to stage equipment for the work.

“The trail between the first parking lot to the Poplar Point access will remain open,” says a release from the City of Kelowna.

Construction signage has been put in place to assist park visitors.
