Planned outage in Rutland will affect more than 200 FortisBC customers today

FortisBC will be shutting off the power for 203 customers in Rutland today.

The planned outage is west of Hollywood Road South between Springfield Road and Hwy 33 West.

It will last from 9 am until around 1:30 pm.

“This outage is required to conduct priority equipment maintenance and is part of the routine work we do to maintain the system,” said Kirsten Dickson, FortisBC.

“We recognize the inconvenience to our customers and appreciate their patience and understanding as we complete the work as quickly and safely as possible.”
