UPDATE: Power fully restored for customers in the Mission

(UPDATE: 8:45 am) - FortisBC has confirmed to KelownaNow that power is fully restored in the Mission.


(Original story: 6:30 am) - Plenty of residents in Kelowna’s Mission neighbourhood are waking up in the dark today.

According to the FortisBC website, the power is out for 1,395 customers in the area.

The outage is between Lakeshore Road and Gordon Drive, stretching from KLO Road to just south of Casorso Road.

The power went out at 1:27 am and there’s no estimated time for it to be turned back on.

FortisBC hasn’t provided a reason for the outage either.
