Power has been restored to thousands of homes in Kelowna after a late-night outage.

About 3,000 Fortis BC customers were affected by the outage in the east of the city, which began just after midnight.

One of the power cuts was caused by wildlife, the other by third-party damage.

By 4:15 am, both outages had been repaired.
