“Several officers attended the rural location and secured the surrounding area to prevent additional foot or vehicle traffic while a protected and thorough investigation takes place,” says Cpl. Gauthier.

The area has since been released, however.

The investigation continues and the Kelowna RCMP continue to work alongside the BC Coroners Service to gather more information.

The Kelowna RCMP say there is no concern for public safety in relation to the incident.
