Rebel With A Cause is the vision of two progressive artists, Emily Elizabeth and Sam Shakura who strive to provide art as a form of healing - empowering and uniting our local communities and those in need throughout British Columbia.

“We are passionate about providing our communities with the same wholeness that we receive daily from the pursuit of our creative passions.”

“Our mission is to team up with fellow local artists who share the same ambitions and grow our organization’s power and influence, to provide quality community events and classes, and to fundraise to help our local communities,” said co-founders, Elizabeth and Shakura.

On December 12th, Emily and Sam are hosting a launch party and charity art auction at Third Space Coffee in the Landmark II building in Kelowna, B.C. Join the ladies of Rebel With A Cause from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. as they showcase 90+ artworks of talented local artists from the Okanagan Valley and throughout B.C. Each piece of art is available for purchase in the silent auction in support of their great cause.

Emily and Sam have recently collaborated with ‘Third Space Life Charity’, a non-profit organization that helps build authentic relationships, creating a safe and healing ‘third’ space where like-minded individuals can nurture balance in mind, body and spirit. Together, the artists behind Rebel With A Cause will be raising funds for charitable organizations associated with Third Space, such as Freedom’s Door, The Kelowna Women’s Shelter and Karis Society.

“We will continue our collaboration with Third Space Life Charity to host our free ‘Rebel with a Cause’ creative workshops in Spring 2018, led by our amazing community of art rebels,” added Elizabeth and Shakura.

Tickets for the Rebel With a Cause event are $35, which includes a complimentary glass of Okanagan bubbly, a raffle entry towards an incredible prize and VIP access to bid on the entire curated collection of one of a kind art and creative services.
