Adam Semeniuk has had a dream of opening his own brewery for several years, and now that dream has become a reality. The 33-year-old opened Red Bird Brewing on August 5th after building the business from the ground up.

Semeniuk started the long journey to achieving his dream back in April of 2016.

KelownaNow caught up with the Red Bird Brewing owner after what was a successful opening in Kelowna.

The Brewery officially opened its door for business on Saturday, August 5th, and Semeniuk says the support from the community has been “outstanding.”

“Red Bird Brewing is a place for people to come together, share stories, connect,” says Semeniuk.

Although their own brew is not quite available yet, Red Bird is featuring some excellent local brews, ciders, and wines for visitors to enjoy in what Semeniuk says is a great environment for people to enjoy each other’s company.

“We’re just a chill little place trying to make a great little place for people to connect,” he says.

During the building process of the micro-brewery, KelownaNow interviewed Semeniuk about the concept and the work that he and his father put into the project.
