Rutland will jump into the holiday season with its Winter Light Up Festival this weekend.

The popular annual event will return to Centennial Park at noon on Sunday and the festivities will cap off with the tree lighting at 4:30 pm.

The event is far more than just a tree lighting, as there is plenty to do for people of all ages.

You can expect crafting, live entertainment, caroling, food trucks, hot chocolate and much more, including a number of local vendors to help you with some holiday shopping.

That includes Shore Apparel, Audax Boutique, Wild Remedies, Naked Wave Handmade, ByBlomme and plenty others.

There will also be photos with Santa, but you’re encouraged to book a spot in advance as spaces are limited.

The kids will likely be able to snag a photo with Loose Moose as well, as the Big White mascot will be there to get in on the fun.
