Suspect flees after alleged assault in front of Liquid Zoo at closing time

RCMP in Kelowna are hoping that more witnesses of a weekend assault outside a popular downtown strip club will come forward.

Officers were flagged down by pedestrians on Lawrence Avenue around 2 am on Nov. 3 after a man was allegedly assaulted in front of the Liquid Zoo.

The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Kelowna General Hospital for treatment.

At the time of the incident, the Liquid Zoo and other establishments in the area were closing and people were flooding out into the streets.

Officers are hoping that others that may have witnessed or got footage of the assault will come forward to assist the investigation.
