The RCMP continues to investigate Saturday’s brazen shooting in the Pandosy area of Kelowna, which sent a pair of men to hospital.
It happened shortly before 7 pm outside of The Canadian Brewhouse near the intersection of Pandosy Street and KLO Road.
Kyle Gianis, a man well known to police who has survived a number of attempts on his life, and a 25-year-old Surrey man were both shot.
Gianis has since been treated and released, but the Surrey man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The RCMP has not made any arrests in connection to the shooting, but said today that they “are doing everything in our power to identify the parties involved in this incident.”
That includes releasing footage of the suspect, who was spotted fleeing the scene right after the shooting occurred.
It shows the suspect wearing light-coloured pants and a light-coloured hoodie, along with a facemask.
Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said the images are being released at the earliest opportunity in hopes that a community member recognizes the clothing or “distinctive gait of this person.”
“If you believe you know who this suspect is, we ask you to do the right thing and identify them to us,” Noseworthy added.
After leaving the scene on foot, the suspect was then seen fleeing the area in a light-coloured SUV, the RCMP said.

The RCMP also provided an update on the undetonated improvised explosive device that was found at the scene on Saturday.
A bomb squad was at the scene on Sunday to recover the device before safely detonating it at a secondary location.
“Based on our examination, this device had the potential to cause significant damage to property and seriously injure members of the public that evening,” said Insp. Beth McAndie.
“This device marks a dramatic escalation in violence and puts innocent members of our community in real danger. This is unacceptable to us, and we are doing everything in our power to identify the parties involved in this incident.”
