The view looked a little different at the Harvest Golf Club, due to the smoke, but thankfully the winds picked up enough to make it an exceptional day on the course for all 144 golfers and sponsors that attended the Kelowna Chamber’s sold-out tournament. This year was the Chamber’s 35th Annual Tournament and it was certainly one for the history books as the traditional shot-gun start gave way to a day of golf to ensure all COVID-19 protocols could be followed.

Title Sponsor, Parke Pacific Projects kicked off the tournament at Hole #1 with a bean bag toss to win a TV. Sponsors greeted golfers at each hole and added to the excitement of the tournament by donating prizes that were given out at an online prizing event that took place on Friday afternoon. Winners took home cash, laser range finders, a beer fridge, gift cards and baskets and so much more. More than $40,000 in prizing was up for grabs.

The Kelowna Chamber also provided kudos to the team at the Harvest Golf Course for their remarkable staff, wonderful hospitality and an unforgettable day on the course which by the way is in incredible shape. The Chamber also acknowledged their fantastic volunteers and corporate sponsors who acted as spotters, greeted golfers and assisted with the tournament throughout the day.

The Chamber was pleased to welcome MP Tracy Gray, who sold 50/50 tickets for the Okanagan Sun. The 50/50 raised $1,230, giving away $615 to a lucky winner! See below for more information and the winning number.

The United Way and The Central Okanagan Food Bank also joined in on the day of fun with a chipping competition and photo booth, bringing some great awareness to their charities.

A challenging putting contest ensued on Hole #14, where TD Benefits and the Chamber Group Benefits Plan hosted a putt-off.

The Chamber thanks all golfers who followed all provincial health orders and followed social distancing guidelines throughout the day. The event was a fantastic way network and is expected to be held again next year either during its usual time in May or again in September.
