It’s the most wonderful time of year and Rutland’s annual Light Up is a must for getting into the holiday spirit.

From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Uptown Rutland will be transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with hot beverages, caroling, and a visit from Saint Nicholas.

The official tree light up at Roxby Square will take place at 4:30 p.m. and the celebration will continue with snow art, more caroling, and a chili meal courtesy of the Salvation Army!

After the lights are turned on, the celebration continues at Plaza 33 with a variety of craft tables, face painting provided by the Valley First Community Crew and a very special reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas by the man in red.

Dress warm, and get ready for lots of fun for the whole family!
