(UPDATE: May 21 @ 6:20 am): Two dogs reported as stolen from a Kelowna home have been recovered, the RCMP announced this morning.
Mounties praised the public for helping find the pets.
“Cala and Missy have been reunited with their owner, who is delighted to have them back,” said Cpl Jocelyn Noseworthy.
“We would like to thank all the members of the public who stepped forward and made this reunion possible.”
No charges have been laid "at this time," police said.
An investigation is under way.

(Original story: May 20 @ 2:25 pm): A pair of dogs were allegedly stolen from a Kelowna woman over the weekend.
They disappeared from the residence in the 500-block of Yates Road overnight between Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17.
Police are now investigating.
One of the dogs, Cala, is a three-year-old female pitbull cross who’s around 60 lbs and is brown, beige and white.
The other, Missy, is a seven-year-old female chihuahua who’s just 5 lbs and brown.
Missy also has an amputated front left paw.
Anyone with information about this crime, or anyone who has seen these dogs in the past couple days, is urged to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
