There isn’t a lot of things that a dad can’t do, but braids might be one of them for the majority.

The Dads & Braids charity event is being held on Sunday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Prestige Beach House in Kelowna. Loyal Wooldridge and his Loyal Hair Therapy team are teaching Dad how to braid his little ladies hair like a champion.

All funds raised are being dedicated to support the Better Together campaign to build JoeAnna’s House. The Better Together campaign aims to raise $8 million to build and operate JoeAnna’s House to help alleviate that strain.

“We wanted to stay close to what JoeAnna’s House is all about, and that’s keeping families together,” says Loyal Wooldridge. “This event is such a great way for Dads and their little girls to spend some quality time together one-on-one, have a good laugh, and hopefully it’s not too painful for either party.”

The workshop will teach Dads how to create three simple looks, under the watchful eye of a professional stylist. Wooldridge promises his students will leave with the confidence to style their daughters hair at home, from ponytails to braids.

Light refreshments and snacks will also be served at the event. Tickets are on sale now for $55 per Dad and daughter duo. Details and tickets are available here.
