For one day in April, you could be golfing on one of the top courses in Canada basically for free.

Tower Ranch Golf Club is offering free golf for their “Feed the Okanagan” event on Wednesday, April 17.

All golfers have to do that day is bring a non-perishable food item on the 17th and the club will accept that in exchange for a green fee.

"We thank Tower Ranch Golf Club for their continued generous support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank," says Tamie Williams, communications officer for the Central Okanagan Food Bank.

"Events like 'Feed the Okanagan' help us meet the needs of those in the Okanagan that face food insecurity each and every day - 33% of which are children."

Eric Thorsteinson, GM at Tower Ranch, says they’re hoping the generosity of golfers and the Tower Ranch community can help them fill a truck with donations.

If you want to add a golf cart to your day on the links, that’ll set you back $25 for 18 holes or $15 for nine holes, but you’re still coming out way ahead.

Tower Ranch has a rugged layout, undulating true greens and is always in great condition.

It’s a popular course amongst locals and travelling golfers and was ranked 54th in Canada in ScoreGolf’s 2018 rankings.
