(UPDATE: July 16 @ 8:30 am): Traffic appears to now be moving at a normal speed across the William R. Bennett Bridge into Kelowna.

(Original story: July 16 @ 7:01 am): Traffic is backed up coming into Kelowna from the west.

A truck fire on the eastbound lanes of the William R. Bennett Bridge appears to be the culprit.

A NowMedia reader sent in photographs showing an official attempting to extinguish a burning vehicle at about 6:45 am this morning.

The westbound lane does not appear to have been affected.

This story will be updated with more information when it becomes available.
