It’s a good thing cooler temperatures and rain is on the way for Kelowna later this week, because one of the city’s most popular beaches will be off limits for a few days.

Tugboat Beach in downtown Kelowna will be closed intermittently from 6 am on Wednesday until noon on Saturday.

It’s to accommodate production crews who will be filming at the beach and the surrounding area.

Not only will the popular beach be closed for a large portion of the four-day stretch, but crews will have to close parts of the promenade in Waterfront Park at times as well.

KelownaNow has reached out to the Okanagan Film Commission to find out what’s being filmed at Tugboat Beach, but has yet to hear back.

A number of made-for-TV movies have been filmed around the Okanagan recently.

Summerland, Peachland, Ex Nihilo Vineyards, the Landmark District and plenty of other Kelowna spots have been taken over by production crews over recent weeks.
