As this article was being written there were still some tickets left for Friday, but Saturday is already a sell-out.
Encouraged by a good first year, organizers have expanded the one-day event into two.
The pair behind the Altitunes Music Festival are Mitch Carefoot and Kurt Jory.
Together, they are Thick as Thieves Entertainment.
"We're really excited to be back on the mountain", said Jory.
As the stage was getting geared-up Thursday, the sun was shining and the sky was blue.
"This is what you have in mind when you're putting together a festival at a ski hill," said Carefoot.
But he reminds festival goers that things can change quickly.
"It can be cold, it can be slushy, so you have to ask everyone to prepare for the winter weather," he explained.
Friday's indie rock line-up includes Peach Pit and Billy Raffoul.
Saturday the music shifts to EDM with Felix Cartal capping off the evening.
The entire event is almost sold out.
"There's a few tickets left for Friday, but we're getting pretty close," said Jory.
Carefoot and Jory are also responsible for bringing 'Denim on the Diamond' and 'Island Time' to Kelowna.
The pair credit their success in getting people out to events like this to their own connections here.
"We're a pretty grass-roots group of friends and people who come together to create fun for community," said Carefoot.
Jory said the COVID times served as a reminder of how important it is to bring people together at special events like this.
"We should be partying here in the Okanagan. It's the most beautiful place on earth. You don't have to go to the coast or Calgary or wherever," he said.
"So we're excited about hosting."
The next Thick as Thieves event on the calendar is The Kelowna Beer Fest which is coming to City Park in May.
