Get Local is a series presented by KelownaNow, featuring some of our favourite local businesses and eateries! It’s our way of spotlighting local places we love and hope you will too.

This Get Local article and video were written and recorded before COVID-19 closures and while everything below remains accurate, Move & Flow is currently open to a limited capacity of eight people per class, following all safety requirements from Interior Health. Childminding programs are temporarily paused, distancing is being practiced, and cleaning procedures have increased. Due to limited space and varying levels of comfort, all members also have unlimited access to our online classes at this time. If you would like to participate, please book online or contact Move & Flow by phone or email. 778-215-0847 sara@moveandflow.ca

Move & Flow was created to be your home away from home.

The studio is an environment where everyone feels at ease and welcome no matter their shape or size, what they wear to class or even how well they follow the instructor.

It's about judgement-free, supportive, feel-good fun.

“Our goal is to help our clients improve their mental and physical health, as well as their overall well-being by taking part in our classes. It's not just an energizing fitness class or relaxing yoga class, but also about building friendships and feeling a sense of belonging,” said Sara Green Eddy, owner and instructor at Move & Flow. “We have a big range of ages and ability levels, but we're all there for each other.”

Sara, who is a 500-hour trained yoga teacher and 12-year certified Jazzercise instructor, set out to give everyone a chance to do something healthy they actually enjoy.

“If you love dancing and music, relaxing in yoga, pushing yourself in barre, or just socializing with friendly people, we’re the place for you,” concludes Sara. “We hope no one will be intimidated to check out our studio.”

Move & Flow offers dance fitness classes as well as barre and yoga classes. There are numerous classes per week to choose from and to make it even easier, they offer many of their online for as well as in person.

If you are growing a family, you are welcome too. Sara and the other instructors are experienced and ready to help any prenatal and postpartum participants enjoy the classes safely. Don't worry if you don't have kids though. They have members from all walks of life, from university students to seniors. Everyone will make friends and become part of the community.
