(UPDATE: 2:05 p.m.) - The Kelowna RCMP tells NowMedia that a 33-year-old Kelowna man was arrested as a result of this incident earlier today.

After causing around $1,000 in damages, he's facing potential charges, but the entire incident is still under investigation.

They have secured this footage from NowMedia to aid in that investigation and are now speaking with the two men who captured it.

If you witnessed this incident and have yet to speak to police, you're asked to contact Cst. Ryan Law of the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.

(Original story: 10:50 a.m.) - A destructive freakout at a Tim Hortons in downtown Kelowna was caught on camera.

Video of the incident, taken by Hunter Sitar and Brennan Reidy, was sent into NowMedia this morning.

The 30 second video starts with the man approaching one of the restaurant’s tills as the unseen employee behind the counter threatens to call the cops, indicating this wasn’t the start of the incident.

The man screams at the employee something along the lines of “I don’t want a f***ing coffee!” or “do I want a f***ing coffee?” as he smacks the point of sale system on the counter.

He continues to scream at the employee before grabbing that point of sale system and ripping it off the counter, throwing it across the room.

In what was otherwise a silent room, one man speaks up at this point, screaming “hey, calm down!” at the angry man.

The man walks towards the exit, forcefully kicking the door open, but he wasn’t done there.

He turns back into the room and screams more expletives as the employee tells him to get out of the restaurant.

As the video ends, it appears as though the man was finally turning to leave.

NowMedia has reached out to the Kelowna RCMP to learn more about the incident and whether the man was arrested, but calls have not yet been returned.

We will update the story as we learn more.
