The outcome was up in the air until the vote was cast.

The developers behind the sky-scraping hotel planned near the downtown waterfront is still breathing a sigh of relief after the project got the nod from Kelowna City Council  

In a sit down interview at KelownaNow, Westcorp VP Gail Temple credits the outpouring of public support for empowering council to approve their project despite a negative recommendation from their own staff.

Our sit-down interview includes the first public display of a "fly-through" video that shows how the project will transform the waterfront area at the foot of Bernard Avenue.
