Anyone looking to take a brisk fall walk along the Mission Creek Greenway or in Kalamoir Regional Park might have to make other plans this week.

Regional District of Central Okanagan crews are doing vegetation maintenance in both parks, resulting in both temporary and multiple-day closures.

Work along the Greenway, between KLO and Lakeshore Road, will take place today until Friday, 8 am until 4 pm each day.

There will be temporary closures there while crews do work on the 4.2-kilometre stretch of trail.

In addition, the Greenway will be closed on Tuesday between the Kokanee Bridge and the trail entrance from the playground in Mission Creek Regional Park.

The area will be cordoned off for the removal of a large tree, which will result in a full-day closure.

Starting today and lasting through Wednesday, similar work will close a section of Kalamoir Regional Park between the Collens Hill Road parking area and just south of Mike Passmore Trail.

The unnamed trails in the area will be closed for all three days.
