The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art and Kelowna Art Gallery is seeking submission proposals for works to be included in the sixth edition of ArtMart.

A vending machine that offers original works from local artists ranging from pins, paintings, models, sculptures and anything in between.

In this latest edition, the centre will be adding an additional ArtMart vending machine that will include even more art in a variety of mediums and themes.

ArtMart is seeking submissions until Oct. 4, and artists can even submit more than one proposal.

Those selected for participation in the project will receive an honorarium, production funds to assist with the creation of work, and a commission on all sales of work through the project.

While not all of the works have to be identical, chosen artists will have to provide up to 20 pieces of work that follow a thematic or process-based consistency.

The best part is, artists are able to name their price anywhere between $1 to $99, although works typically under $40 are the most popular.

The ArtMarts will be found in the BNA Tasting Room and Kelowna Art Gallery sometime in late November or early December.

If you are interested in applying for ArtMart, you can learn more here and send in an application.
