From charity runs and sports games, to craft markets and the biggest community events in the city, it is hard to bored while being in Kelowna.

If you’re looking for a way to make the most of your weekend, we are here to tell you about the notable events and activities coming to town. Here is your Weekend Need to KNow!

Okanagan Tattoo Show

It’s time to get tatted up and absorb some artistic talent – the needling kind. The Okanagan Tattoo Show is back all weekend long starting on Friday! They have their famous brewfest, lots of entertainment and nation-renowned tattoo artists joining the fun, including a tattoo artist from China.

Tickets are still available for $84.99 for the weekend and $29.99 for a single day pass. You have all weekend (Friday to Sunday) to check it out!

Hint: The official closing party for the Okanagan Tattoo Show is at Doc Willoughby’s on Sunday at 9 pm, no cover charge (score)!

Interior Savings Across the Lake Swim

If you see a large group of swimmers in the lake the Saturday, you’ll be witnessing the Across the Lake Swim! This year is the 71st swim for the recurring event. The swimmers start their 2.1 km swim at the Old Ferry Docks in West Kelowna all the way to City Park.

Cheer on these brave swimmers who are swimming in the still semi-cold lake!

Ropes + Yoga at Myra Canyon Adventure Park

What are the weekends for? Family fun! This Saturday at 9 am, go to Myra Canyon Adventure Park for a Slow Flow class and explore the park’s 4-course ropes! It could be the ultimate opportunity to connect with each other and with nature while having fun!

Don’t forget your mat! Click here to purchase tickets.

7th Annual Butterfly Effect

For a few hours, gather to Falcon Ridge Farms from 10 am to 1 pm to honour those we have lost with a butterfly release.

There will be a kids zone, local entertainment and local artisans supporting the event. To purchase a butterfly, click here.

Largest Outdoor Yoga Class

This Sunday, find zen with the community at Stuart Park! Oranj Fitness is hosting their 11th Annual Largest Outdoor Yoga Class and it’s (hopefully) going to be a hot one! Imagine – it’ll be an outdoor hot yoga class. We don’t know about you but that’s (most of our) dreams!

The “doors” open at 8:30 am, so come on down at that time to register, set up your mat and look at the community booths.

At 9 am sharp, the hour and a half yoga class will begin. Have a little one? Don’t fret! Oranj’s childminding staff will be at the back of the rink with activities and toys for your kids so they can jump in and out of the yoga class at no extra cost!

This event is by donation $10. Can’t wait to see you there!

There are lot's of community activities this week! We hope to see you out there!

To see a more comprehensive list of events taking place in our community you can head to our events calendar! If you would like the Now you KNow cruiser to be at your next event, send an email to events@kelownanow.com.
