After making their debut at Paris Fashion Week in early October, a mother and daughter duo from West Kelowna are preparing for their inaugural jewellery drive to support a local charity.

Donna and Danielle Scheven, founders of Carolily, are seeking donations of gently used jewelry throughout November in support of Mamas for Mamas.

“Mamas for Mamas was one of the first charitable organizations we ever worked with as a company back in 2016,” says Danielle.

“After the year our community and world at large has had, there is no better time than now to spread a little extra love.”

The national charity supports mothers and caregivers in crisis by providing ongoing support for low-income families.

Carolily has donated 25 pieces of brand new jewelry to the cause and the goal is to collect 300 pieces to support the drive.

Anyone looking to donate will receive 15% off their next purchase of Carolily while supporting a local charity.

Donations are being accepted at PostNet in Kelowna, Olive & Elle in downtown Kelowna and Strut Footwear in the Lower Mission.

The deadline for donations is Nov. 30.

“We are honoured to help support women in our community who need a hand up,” Donna shares.

“We all have jewelry we no longer wear or need. It is such a small ask, but one that can have such a profound impact on someone else.”
