Four women and two men have been arrested after a cannabis raid on a Joe Rich house.

West Kelowna Mounties executed a search warrant on the property in the 7500 block of Falcon Road on Oct. 16.

Fortis BC cut power to the area so police could safely seize evidence.

“Police officers seized $1,400 in cash, 95 pounds of dried marijuana bud and nearly 2,000 plants,” Cpl Meghan Foster said.

“These types of investigations are laborious and our investigators worked tirelessly to secure the evidence."

She also commented on the fact that West Kelowna’s RCMP detachment was working so far east.

“The policing jurisdiction for Joe Rich is the West Kelowna RCMP and while the optics of this may pose as a logistical hurdle for our investigators, the results of yesterday should reassure the public that it is not,” she explained.

The arrested six have been released from police custody and will appear in court at a later date.
