After recently announcing his retirement from the iconic Empress hotel in downtown Victoria, this Instagram famous pup has moved to a new city.

Winston and his owner Jessica Pearce have moved to Kelowna’s Hotel Eldorado and Manteo.

The hotel announced the news this afternoon, saying Pearce will be joining the executive team as the General Manager. Winston, of course, has a new title as well — Director of Pet Relations.

Jessica has worked in the tourism sector and been with the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts since 2010, most recently as the Director of Rooms at Victoria’s famed Fairmont Empress Hotel.

Winston is ¾ Lab and ¼ Golden Retriever and 100% a good boy. He is a former guide dog in training.

He has always been known for his ‘waggy tail’ pawsitivity, particularly welcoming new guests.

“The Kelowna market is exciting and even though it has experienced huge growth I really believe its best days are ahead,” Pearce said about their new positions.

“It’s a good time to be in the tourism sector. And I can speak for Winston as well. He is very excited to add another prestigious hotel property to his Pet Ambassador resume.”
