Crews have begun work on a new development in the east part of Mission Creek Regional Park.

The work will be ongoing until June, as a number of improvements are made to the area of the park off Springfield Road near the Leckie Road parking lot.

The majority of the Leckie Road parking lot will remain open during construction, with the exception of 10 stalls that will be closed for staging and storage.

While the park remains open to visitors, people are asked to stay out of the signed, closed area and be aware of heavy equipment during work hours.
