Fitness facilities at all three YMCA of Okanagan locations are ready for visitors once again.

Gyms at the Kelowna Family YMCA, H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre and the Downtown YMCA all reopened to members on Monday.

There are new safety standards and cleaning practices in place to protect the health of YMCA members, staff and the rest of the community.

As an added bonus, the YMCA of Okanagan won’t start charging member fees again until mid-July.

"Even though we are opening June 29, member payments will not be resuming until July 15," said the YMCA in a statement.

"Note that your payment will be on your regular scheduled day of the month."

Unfortunately, swimming pools remain closed at this time and aren’t expected to reopen until later this month or August.
