After a great yoga session, what could be better than an ice cold craft beer?

Nothing, and you can find that out in person at a cool event taking place in Kelowna this weekend.

A pair of local yoga instructors are hosting an event that will start with a 60 minute vinyasa yoga practice under the sun, with a live DJ spinning tunes, before finishing with a craft beer tasting flight at Kettle River Brewing Co.

Kelly Day and Drew Hertz are the creative minds behind this new event, which is sure to be a popular one in a beer and yoga loving city like Kelowna.

Day teaches yoga at both Moksha Yoga and The Hot Box Yoga here in Kelowna for the past four years.

Hertz has only been at it for a year and a half, but has taught at a number of places in both Vancouver and Kelowna.

She currently teaches alongside Day at The Hot Box Yoga and at Solstice Yoga as well.

After the pair leads attendees through the 60 minute yoga session, which will be fun for any level of yogi, they’ll lead you back to Kettle River for a fun social gathering.

Tickets, which are $30, will get you the hour long yoga session and a tasting flight from Kettle River and they can be purchased through Eventbrite.

While the event runs from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, you’ll be more than welcome to stick around and have a couple more cold ones with new friends.
