Another impressive performance by Kelowna AquaJets at 2nd meet of the season

Kelowna Aquajets had 80 represent the club at the second regional swim meet of the season held in Vernon over the weekend. 

The club came runner-up to the host team Vernon placing second overall for the meet.  

Those who swam to 100% best times were Liam Collie, Paul Neupert, Jovin Bertoia, Kaylee Buckmaster, Liam Chew, Leonie Klimas, Sarah Moore, Juliet Nicholson, Hillian Rabinovitch, Sophia Tomm, Dakota Wiman, Cameron Yakimchuk, Soyoung Yoon, Kira Clark, Ethan Gray, rynn Hall, Maya McLaren, Gage Meyers, Courtney Pequin, Caden Reddekopp, Mattias Spies, Ella Mace, Avery Deis, Nomi Edwards, Emilie Golinowski, Andrew Hwang, Justin Kim, Anar Malek, Grace Paoletich, Josha Perkins, Joshus Yoon, Finn Kirk, Belle Paul, Kapri Pike and Liam Shannon.

Swimmers who were just shy of 100% best times were Kiana Johnson, Kyla Johnson, Jordan Meyer, Amelia Ahn Lou, Tuja Dreyer, Jacob Berg, Kyden Slozka, William Jablonski, Sawyer Nabozniak, Helene Denney, Lauren Griffin-Lepine and Kodi Wiman.

Swimming to the podium were Finn Kirk, Tobias Allott, Emma Berg, Madi Fourie, Lauren Griffin-Lepine, Abigail Jerome, Kodi Wiman, Oliver Dickieson, Will Thorsteinson, Aiden Kirk, Jared Moore, Gabe Widing, Emilie Golinowski, Cameron Chambers, Liam Collie, Kelsey Fillion, Kasua Dreyer, Paul Neupert, Amelia Ahn Lou, Joshua Yoon, Tuja Dreyer, Avery Deis, Ethan Gray, Sara Gray, Jordan Meyer, Noella Quadri, Ava Mailey, Gage Meyers, Liam Chew, Abigail Nicholson, Scott Watson, Kaylee Buckmaster, William Jablonski, Sawyer Nabozniak, Jovin Bertoia and Juliet Nicholson.

Big time drops of greater than 10 seconds were had by Kira Clark, Ethan Gray, Kiana Johnson, Ruby Kehler, Ava Mailey, Maya McLaren, Caden Reddekopp, Mattias Spies, Finn Kirk, Belle Paul, Kyden Slozka, Liam Collie, Joshua Perkins, Anar Maleki, Justin Kim, Tuja Dreyer, Andrew Hwang, Jovin Bertoia and Sawyer Nabozniak.

KAJ has two new Age Group Provincials qualifiers and they are Juliet Nicholson and Tuja Dreyer.

Those who swam to new Provincial qualifying times were Emma Hawkins, Sawyer Nabozniak, Abigail Nicholson, Scott Watson and Noella Quadri.

Swimmers participating in their first regional meet were Ava Mailey, Mattias Spies and Gage Meyers

KAJ also had 56 of the Junior Jets participate in the Vernon Jamboree.

100% best times were had by Jeannine Clark, Cooper Gartrell, Della Gartrell, Lila Kehler, Rilo Kehler, Kayla Kroeker, Liv Obst, Natalia Slezak, Kasey Smith, Nicholas Spies, Reese, Wallgren, Kaleb Tainaka, Vivi Tainaka, Brooke Zacharias, Lux B., Heidi F., Luke F., Averie F., Gurkiran G., Abigail G., Neve G., Elliot K., Jenna M., Tiana P., Nora S., those swimmers who were just one shy of 100% times were Samantha Bagnall, Logan Mailey, Jillian McLaren and Oliver Meyers

Making the podium were Samantha Bagnall, Rilo Kehler, Kayla Kroeker, Averie F., Ben G., Annaleigha J., Mei-Viz Lou, Jenna M. and Zoe P.

Big time drops of 10 seconds or more were had by Jeannine Clark, Cooper Gartrell, Rilo Kehler, Kasey Smith, Vivi Tainaka

Those swimmers attending their first meet were Heidi F., Luke F., Kayla Kroeker, Nicholas Spies, Reese Wallgren and Brook Zacharias

Swimmers who will be moving up the compete at the Regional meets are Rilo Kehler, Natalia Slezak, Ilija Cepus, Ben Garwah and Mei-Viz Lou…way to go Jets!!!!
