For the second time this month, the Dr. Knox Falcons and Kelowna Secondary Schools Owls junior girls teams did battle in an important basketball game.

Once again, it was a strong Falcons team that would come out on top of a Owls team that’s dealing with its fair share of injuries.

This time, it was a 55-51 final on Saturday night in the finals of the Junior Girls Okanagan Valley Basketball Championship.

Reegan Bond led the Falcons with 23 points after putting up 27 points in Dr. Knox’s semi-final massacre of Vernon Secondary School, 71-28.

Both teams are now off to the BC Junior Girls Championships at the Langley Events Center from Feb. 26-29.

The Falcons are now ranked number one heading into the tournament, while the Owls are right behind them at number two.

However, KSS is expecting to be back at full strength, which could give them the upper hand in Langley.
