A Kelowna runner made a name for herself this week competing in one of the world's most difficult and prestigious marathons.

Diane Leonard was in Massachusetts for the Boston Marathon this Monday. She was competing in the 75 to 79-year-old age group.

Leonard finished with a fantastic time of four hours, 27 minutes and 26 seconds. That time earned her the top spot in her age group.

She was so fast that the next closest runner to her was over 30 whole minutes behind.
