The Okanagan College Coyotes roster continues to take shape with another off-season signing.

The team announced a signing today, as Kelowna’s Connor Richards has joined the program after playing last season with the Okanagan Athletics U18 Premier Baseball program.

“We are pleased to add Connor to our program for next fall,” said head coach Geoff White.

“I have known Connor since he was in our U13 program and have watched him progress over the years.”

Richards, a graduate of Kelowna Senior Secondary, is an infielder who hit .297 in his last season with the Athletics.

The 6’0”, 160 lbs utility player has filled a variety of roles throughout his career and will be counted on to do just that for the Coyotes.

“Richards brings some versatility and a quality left-handed bat, we have high expectations for him to continue to make positive progress,” added White.

“We also really like the maturity he brings to the table and he has experience in a variety of positions.”

Richards will join Athletics teammate Clark Swift on the OC Coyotes roster next summer.
