After three years as head coach of the Okanagan Sun, Jamie Boreham resigned effective immediately on Thursday, Mar. 24.

In a media release, the Sun stated that Boreham needed to focus his time on his young family, and was unable to provide the 100% dedication the position requires.

Boreham was a former punter in the CFL, playing eight seasons for four teams. He won a Grey Cup with Saskatchewan in 2007. He was also a teacher at Immaculata High School from 2016-2017.

The Sun lost in the final of the BCFC championship to the Langley Rams last season.
