Just under 100 young Rocket hopefuls will be lacing up this week for ice time and a chance to join the Rockets main camp at the end of August.

The Kelowna Rockets Rookie Camp registration took place on Monday at Prospera Place with approximately 98 players listed to hit the ice throughout the week.

Prospective Rockets will make their first appearance on Prospera Place's frozen plateau Tuesday morning to start the camp, all with the intention to stick around for Main Camp the following week.

The players will be split into six teams and play a mini-tournament throughout the week leading up to Friday, which marks the first day of Main Camp.

Main Camp will continue through the following week, from August 24 to 30, with the Rockets preseason opener taking place at home on Aug. 31 against the Victoria Royals.

Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m. in Prospera Place, tickets can be purchased here. For the full Kelowna Rockets preseason schedule, click here.
