The West Kelowna Warriors were in action on Friday, this time taking on the Vernon Vipers.

After falling behind two goals, West Kelowna mounted a thrilling comeback to win the game 4-3.

In the first period, the Warriors would get the start they were hoping for. Just two minutes in, Nick Ardanaz would score a power-play goal to give West Kelowna the edge.

The 1-0 lead didn't last long as Vernon scored three unanswered goals. Wil Arquiett scored one on a penalty shot while Hunter Donohoe and Nicholas Remissong would notch power-play markers.

West Kelowna would answer in the second as Felix Trudeau was able to bring the Warriors within one. Matthew Stienburg quickly followed that up with one of his own to bring the game back to a tie.

scoreless third meant both teams would advance to overtime. No heroes there prepared both goaltenders for a shootout.

In the shootout, Warriors' emergency goaltender Roman Basran, who is a current member of the Kelowna Rockets, shut the door, stopping all three shots he faced. Stienburg and Elan Bar Lev Wise both scored to secure the win for West Kelowna.

Both teams are back in action tonight as they play in Royal LePage Place at 7 pm.
